TYLER -- The Cougars built up a three-possession lead in the first quarter of Friday's game against Tyler All Saints and never looked back on the way to a 51-0 victory at Clyde-Perkins Stadium.

Quarterback Christopher Wilhelmi led the way. He completed 9 of 11 passes for 134 yards and a score while also rushing for 61 yards and scoring the early, game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard dive.

Tyler Grace Community (6-1, 3-1) jumped into sole possession of third place within TAPPS Division II, District II and trail league leaders Tyler Bishop Gorman and Dallas Christian by just one game in the standings.

All Saints (2-5, 0-4) remained tied with Dallas Shelton at the bottom of the district. It will probably need to win out and get help from other teams in the final three weeks of the regular season to reach the postseason.

Josh Spitzer gave Grace a 14-0 lead on a 14-yard run after Wilhelmi's score. Safety Adam McKinney picked off All Saints its next possession for a 28-yard score and 21-0 lead.

Two Mason Dacus touchdown runs in the second quarter put the game out of reach.

All Saints will try to rally this week against Shelton. The Cougars will visit Carrollton Prince of Peace on Thursday.
