CORSICANA -- Jamicah Polk ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns as the Corsicana Tigers beat the Jacksonville Indians 30-14 in District 16-5A action Friday at Tiger Stadium.

Polk scored the game's first and last touchdowns on runs of 19 and 17 yards, respectively, as Corsicana advanced to 2-0 in district on a night it failed to complete a pass.

Polk's night overshadowed a 141-yard performance from teammate Jamaal Evans, who also scored a first-half touchdown.

Jacksonville fell to 3-2 overall, 0-2 in district.

Indians quarterback Carter McCown completed 21 of 34 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown with a late interception.

Jacksonville's Micah Edwards caught a game-high seven passes for 76 yards, followed by Jeremy McAnally with 54 yards on five catches. Tre Lollar caught a pair of passes for 48 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

After a scoreless first quarter, Corsicana (3-2 overall) took a 13-0 lead when linebacker Laval Thompson stripped Edwards on a short pass and went to turn upfield. Thompson returned it 85 yards untouched.

Jacksonville had a 50-yard touchdown run by Datavion Thacker erased by a holding call early in the third quarter. The Indians got as close as six points after Jamoderick Taylor capped an 11-play, 90-yard drive with a 25-yard touchdown run.

Jacksonville will be in action next week at home against Lindale.
