Jasper offensive lineman Terrell Cuney told ETSN.fm via text Saturday morning that Texas has offered him during a junior day trip to Austin.

The Longhorns are the third team to offer Cuney, a 6-foot-3, 260-pounder who starts at center for Jasper and is expected to stay at that position in college. Texas Tech offered Cuney earlier this week, while TCU offered him within the past few weeks.

Cuney and Mount Pleasant receiver K.D. Cannon are both visiting the Texas junior day this weekend and are widely considered two of the Longhorns' top targets in the 2014 class. Cannon has the most offers of any 2014 East Texas recruit with 13: Baylor, Clemson, Houston, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Cannon led East Texas in catches (104) and touchdown grabs (25) in 2012. He finished second in receiving yards (1,597) behind Lufkin's JaBryce Taylor (1,628), an SMU signee.

Rivals.com, 247Sports.com, and Scout.com rate Cannon as the No. 1 receiver in the entire state in the 2014 class.
