John Tyler star defensive end and ETSN.fm Super Team Defensive Player of the Year Tyus Bowser is no longer committed to Oklahoma State, Lions coach Ricklan Holmes told ETSN.fm Tuesday.

Bowser, who finished with 24 sacks in John Tyler's Class 4A Division I state semifinal run in 2012, had just committed to OSU last Thursday (Jan. 24).

The 6-3, 225-pound Bowser, also a star on the Lions basketball team, told ETSN.fm after his commitment that he also would have the opportunity to play basketball at OSU as well.

Bowser makes the decision eight days before National Signing Day, which is Wednesday, Feb. 6, although his decision does not have to be made by that day.

He is ranked No. 5 in the ETSN 25 recruiting rankings.

JT star receiver Fred Ross is still committed to Oklahoma State, of which JT coach Holmes is an alum. Ross did, however, take an official visit to Mississippi State last weekend.
