Nac’s Jaylon Lane Picks Up Offer No. 6 from Boise State

Nacogdoches cornerback Jaylon Lane is committed to Mississippi, but Houston and Oklahoma State have offered after the news in hopes of taking him away.

Add the original BCS buster to the mix. Boise State offered the 6-2, 185-pound defensive back Monday evening.

Lane, who also has offers from Louisiana Tech and South Alabama, shared the news via Twitter.

The Broncos are new to the East Texas Class of 2015 mix. No other rising senior has received a Division I offer from the university, and Boise State marks the 34th unique school to offer an array of 15 football players from the region who already hold Division I scholarships.

Lane spent the past two seasons at Central High School in San Angelo, Texas. He recorded 46 tackles and five interceptions with two for pick sixes as a junior.

He also returned five kickoffs for a 46-yard average and had a 108-yard touchdown return.

Lane’s sixth offer ties 2015 Troup quarterback Blake Lynch, a Baylor commit. Only Longview running back JaMycal Hasty (7), Newton defensive back Roney Elam (8), Gilmer athlete Kris Boyd (10), Whitehouse safety Justin Dunning (11) and Gladewater defensive tackle Daylon Mack (21) have more offers.
