SHELBYVILLE -- All but two of Shelbyville's plays were running plays Friday against Carlisle. The Dragons had no need to throw the ball.

Shelbyville rolled up 559 rushing yards led by sophomore duo Octavian Burrell and Riheam Jenkins in a 48-35 home win against Carlisle.

Burrell had a huge night, rushing 29 times for 299 yards and five touchdowns. Jenkins added 106 yards on 13 carries, while junior Dee Osby ran five times for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Junior Travis Henkel ran three times for 43 yards. Sophomore Isiah Stansberry had 18 yards and a touchdown on four carries.

Carlisle's Caleb Colley completed 6 of 8 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. He ran 14 times for 57 yards. Both of his touchdown throws went to Bryce McGowan, who caught five passes for 139 yards.

Gustavo Martinez led Carlisle on the ground with nine carries for 104 yards and three touchdowns.

Shelbyville hosts Groveton on Friday, while Wolfe City visits Carlisle.
