Outside Shooting Carries Bullard to Win Over Canton + Regionals Berth

WINONA -- The Bullard Lady Panthers advanced to the Class 4A Region II tournament this weekend in Commerce with a 50-46 win over Canton on Tuesday night.

Bullard (31-6) will face Dallas Lincoln at 6 p.m. Friday from The Fieldhouse on the campus of Texas A&M-Commerce in one regional semifinal. The winner will meet with the winner of Friday's other semifinal between Argyle and Gilmer.

The regional championship is set for noon Saturday.

The Lady Panthers knocked down nine 3-pointers on the night. Sydney Foster led the way with 19 points, include three treys. Lauren Zachary hit a team-best four 3's and finished with 12 points.

Lexi Kirgan, the team's leading scorer for the season, chipped in with nine points.

Canton was led in defeat by Lilly Nelson, who had 11 points.
