Slocum Rolls to Big Bi-District Win Over Chester

LUFKIN -- The Slocum Mustangs rolled to a 71-44 rout of Chester in their Class A Region III bi-district playoff Tuesday night.

Five Mustangs (20-14) scored in double figures, including Alex Maldonado, who finished with 17 points, which included four 3-pointers.

Jacob Lane added 14 points, while Travis Neal had 13. Taylor Hunt and Keet Cockerham finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the win.

Slocum will face Jonesboro later this week in the area round of the playoffs.
