East Texas' leader in Division I FBS scholarship offers added another one to his name on Tuesday.

Arp 2018 safety DeMarvion Overshown announced via Twitter that Stanford became the 26th program to extend an invitation to him.

Overshown (6-4, 196) holds offers from some of the biggest programs in the nation, including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, and USC.

The Arp standout also became the first East Texan in the 2018 class to receive an offer from Stanford.

Arp reached the Class 3A Division II state semifinals last season after mild upsets of Newton and Crockett in back-to-back weeks at the regional level of the state playoffs. Overshown recorded 173 tackles and four total takeaways in the 15-game campaign and also caught four balls for 121 yards as a receiver.

Don’t be surprised to see Overshown in new roles as a senior. Arp will lose universal athlete Kayce Medlock to SMU in May.

Stanford, a member of the Pac-12 Conference, is coached by David Shaw. The Cardinal finished 2016 with a 10-3 record, and are 64-17 in six seasons under Shaw.

Overshown, like all college football prospects currently in their junior year of high school, will become eligible to sign with any school that offers him in February of 2018.
