WHITEHOUSE -- Whitehouse quarterback Nate Brooks ran for 109 yards and three touchdowns and threw another as the Wildcats built on a seven-point halftime lead with 35 unanswered points in the second half en route to a 56-14 win Friday against the Jacksonville Indians at Wildcat Stadium.

NACOGDOCHES -- In a must-win game for both teams, the Nacogdoches Dragons downed Lindale, 42-35, to stay in the thick of the playoff hunt Friday night at Dragon Stadium.

LONGVIEW -- Devon Boyd scored three times and Tavian Ray scored twice in pacing the Tatum Eagles to a 45-28 victory over the Spring Hill Panthers in District 6-4A Division II action.

ATHENS -- The Athens Hornets rolled away in the second half for a 44-23 victory over Kaufman at Bruce Field Friday night.

MARSHALL -- Texas High did all the damage it needed in the second quarter and wrapped up a playoff berth from District 15-5A with a 41-14 win over Marshall Friday at Maverick Stadium.

TYLER -- The John Tyler Lions rebounded from their first district loss of the season last week at Ennis to defeat Corsicana, 33-3, Friday on Homecoming Night at Trinity Mother Frances Tyler Rose Stadium.

LUFKIN -- Tre Elliott's 1-yard touchdown run with 28 seconds remaining sent the No. 7 Ennis Lions to a 55-48 victory over Lufkin on Friday night at Abe Martin Stadium in a game that featured two ties and five lead changes.

GARLAND -- Zach Hall accounted for all six touchdowns, leading Tyler Lee to an easy 42-7 win over North Garland on Thursday night at Williams Stadium.
