2018 UIL State Softball Tournament

Santa Gertrudis took advantage of a couple costly Hughes Springs errors in its 8-3 win Thursday night in the Class 3A championship game.

Vernon scored four runs in the 11th inning to outlast Emory Rains, 6-2, in Thursday's Class 4A state semifinal in Austin.

Peyton Blythe's three-run double in the eighth inning sent Hughes Springs past Grandview on Wednesday + into the Class 3A state championship game.

Normangee scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, walking off with an 8-7 win over Woden in a Class 2A semifinal Wednesday morning.

The UIL state softball tournament begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday at both McCombs Field in Austin and Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.
