Texas State Offers Elkhart’s Jeffery Wilson

The fourth Division I FBS offer arrived Wednesday evening for Elkhart's Jeffery Wilson.

Elkhart head coach Sam Wells confirmed with ETSN.fm that Wilson received an offer from Texas State on Wednesday. The Palestine Herald-Press first reported the offer.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder had a breakout junior season in 2012, finishing fourth in East Texas in rushing yards with 2,329 and tying for eighth with 26 rushing touchdowns. Wilson averaged 8.4 yards per carry.

Wilson's offer list now includes the Bobcats, North Mexico State, North Texas, and ULM.

Wilson is 1 of 31 East Texans in the 2014 football class with at least one Division I FBS offer. The 2013 East Texas class had 17 FBS signees.
