TEXARKANA -- Three of TJ Cole's six touchdown passes went for touchdowns in Pleasant Grove's 47-14 win over Spring Hill on Friday night in District 7-4A Division II action.

The win kept Pleasant Grove's playoff hopes alive as the Eagles improved to 3-6 on the season and 2-2 in district. Spring Hill (3-6, 0-4) was eliminated from the postseason with the loss.

Cole connected with Xavier Benson twice for touchdowns and his third went to Cameron Wells. Benson led all Hawks receivers with three catches for 45 yards and scored on passes of 13 and 7 yards.

Wells' 22-yard touchdown cut Spring Hill's first-quarter lead to 14-13 with 16 seconds left in the period. But the Hawks kept scoring, getting a 14-yard touchdown run from Keshawn Jones and Benson's second TD catch to take a 27-14 lead at halftime.

Spring Hill jumped on Pleasant Grove early, opening the game with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Carson Fruge and Gage White followed with a 6-yard touchdown run to give the Panthers a 14-0 lead with 7:09 left in the first quarter.

But Pleasant Grove wouldn't allow another point in the win while scoring 47 unanswered.

Zach Tulpa led Spring Hill in offense with 11 carries for 58 yards.

Logan Wesley (13 carries for 68 yards) and Josh Roberts (eight carries for 64 yards) were Pleasant Grove's top rushers in the win.
