Tuesday Basketball: Lufkin Hudson Boys Defeat Onalaska, 77-46

LUFKIN -- Lufkin Hudson took out Onalaska at home Tuesday evening in a non-district game, 77-46.

Teraven Rhodes finished with 19 points to lead the Hornets (1-0). Brandon Carriere added 15 points, including three 3-pointers.

Lufkin Hudson next has a contest on the road against Cumberland Academy at 6 p.m. Friday.

Chapel Hill girls improve to 2-0

LINDALE -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs came away with a 36-29 victory on the road Tuesday against Lindale.

Shelbee Denson led with nine points and De'Andreea Berry added seven. Shelbi Steen finished with eight points for Lindale.

Chapel Hill improved to 2-0 and will next face Arkansas High on Thursday.

Bullard girls crush Hallsville

HALLSVILLE -- Bullard won without challenge against Hallsville in Tuesday, taking out the Ladycats, 67-25.

Day finished with 16 points while Smith added 15 for the Lady Panthers, who improved to 4-0.

Bullard begins play in the Saltillo Tournament on Thursday.
