Tuesday Basketball: Whitehouse Edges Nacogdoches + More

NACOGDOCHES -- The Whitehouse Wildcats remained unbeaten in District 17-5A with a 53-48 win over Nacogdoches on Tuesday night.

Javier Neal led Whitehouse (19-6, 4-0) with 30 points. Kolby Jimmerson added 10 points in the win as well.

Whitehouse returns to action Friday at home against Jacksonville.

ELKHART -- The third-ranked Laneville Yellowjackets earned a narrow 70-65 win over Slocum in District 27-A action Tuesday.

Taylor Hunt led Slocum (14-12, 0-4) in defeat with 31 points. Travis Neal registered 10 points in the loss.

Slocum plays at Trinidad on Friday.

WINONA -- The Winona Ladycats cruised to a 61-14 win over West Rusk in District 15-3A action Tuesday.

Nichole Garrett paced Winona with 21 points, while Randaysha Hanson added 18.

Winona continues its season Friday at Arp.
