Atlanta Rallies From 20-Point Deficit to Stun West Rusk

LONGVIEW – Andrew Samples passed for four touchdowns to help Atlanta rally past West Rusk, 28-20, in their Class 3A Division I bi-district playoff Friday night.

Atlanta (6-5) erased a 20-0 deficit, scoring twice in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback. Samples’ 6-yard touchdown pass to Kade Wood with 3:59 remaining sealed the win.

LJ Harper passed for three touchdowns in defeat for West Rusk (8-3).

Atlanta will face Kemp (8-2) at noon next Friday from Tyler’s Christus TMF Rose Stadium in the area round.
