Pleasant Grove 2018 linebacker Xavier Benson picked up his 11th Division I FBS scholarship offer on Friday evening.

Benson (6-0, 200) reported via Twitter that Wyoming became the latest school to offer him.

In addition to Wyoming, Benson also holds FBS offers Arkansas State, Army, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, North Texas, SMU, Southern Miss, Texas State, Texas Tech, and Tulane.

Benson is the second player from East Texas in the 2018 class to pick up an offer from Wyoming, joining West Rusk linebacker and Washington State commit Tyree Wilson.

Last season, Benson helped guide Pleasant Grove to a third-round playoff appearance at the Class 4A Division II level and finished a 13-game campaign with 89 tackles as well as four total takeaways.

Pleasant Grove also used Benson as a heavy receiver in its Wing-T set. He caught nine balls for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

Head coach Craig Bohl seemed to get a handle on the Wyoming job last year in his third season. He guided the Cowboys to a Mountain West championship game appearance as well as a trip to the Poinsettia Bowl as highlights of an 8-6 record.

Benson, like all college football prospects currently in their junior year of high school, will become eligible to sign with any program that offers him in December.
