WACO -- Two-time defending state champion Bullard Brook Hill kept its quest of a three-peat alive with a 7-1 win over Red Ovilla Christian on Tuesday in a TAPPS Class 3A state baseball semifinal.

Brook Hill will face Bryan Brazos Christian for the state title at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Red Murff Field on the campus of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.

Daniel Priddy struck out 10 in six innings for the win. He allowed one run on six hits and did not walk a batter.

Mike Greening and Jonah Gonzales each drove in two runs to lead Brook Hill at the plate.

Gonzales gave Brook Hill a 2-0 lead with a two-run double to score Drew Robertson and Quintin Pile in the second inning. The Guard extended their lead with a run in the third inning when Collin Mondrik singled home Clayton Engel.

After Ovilla Christian cut the deficit to 3-1 in the top of the sixth, Brook Hill put the game away with four runs in the bottom half of the inning. Greening drove in two with a single, and Engel came through with an RBI double in the inning.
