BULLARD -- Kendall Kerns homered and had three RBIs, leading Bullard Brook Hill to a 10-0 rout of Fort Worth Temple Christian on Friday in the second round of the TAPPS Class 3A playoffs.

Brook Hill, the two-time defending state champion, will face Lubbock Christian next week with a spot at the state tournament on the line.

Quintin Pile picked up the win on the mound, striking out nine in five shutout innings. He allowed just two hits.

Clayton Engel had an RBI and scored three runs, Blake Maddox had two RBIs, while Collin Mondrik went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
