ATLANTA -- The duo of quarterback Chase Musgrove and running back DeQuan Allen led Atlanta to a dominating 56-27 defeat of Liberty-Eylau on Friday night, which improved the Rabbits to 5-0 on the season.

Musgrove passed for 168 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 89 yards and two more scores. Allen finished with 144 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, as Atlanta outgained Liberty-Eylau (1-4), 505-294, on the night.

Atlanta's Jeremy Smith finished the night with six catches for 150 yards and a touchdown.

Both of Allen's touchdown runs came in the opening quarter. His 16-yarder got the Rabbits on the board, and his 3-yard score gave Atlanta 14-0 lead after one period.

Atlanta then built a 42-14 halftime lead with four touchdowns in the second quarter. Musgrove had touchdown runs of 22 and 20 yards and a 38-yard scoring strike to Jeremy Smith, and Eddrick King added a 2-yard touchdown run.

Ke'mon Freeman led Liberty-Eylau, rushing for 146 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. He also passed for 152 yards and three touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions.

Both teams are off next week. Atlanta begins District 6-4A Division II play on Oct. 10 at Pleasant Grove, while Liberty-Eylau travels to Paris in its 7-4A Division I opener on the same night.
