GLADEWATER -- The Daingerfield Tigers opened the playoffs with a 41-17 rout of Lone Oak in Class 3A Division II bi-district contest Friday night at Jack V. Murphy Bear Stadium.

Daingerfield (7-4) advanced to the area round of the playoffs where it will face defending state champion and top-ranked Gunter (11-0) next week. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday from Royse City ISD Stadium.

The Tigers got three rushing touchdowns from Jakauri Woods and 106 rushing yards form Chris Castleberry to ignite the win.

Reggie Jeter added a touchdown run, and Timmyon Broner returned an interception for a score to aid in the Daingerfield victory.
