John Tyler's Chance Billington Announces Commitment

Another 2019 East Texas recruit took himself off the market by announcing his college commitment.

John Tyler offensive lineman reported via Twitter on Monday that he has committed to Louisiana-Monroe.

Billington (6-3, 301) chose ULM over other FBS offers from Iowa State, New Mexico State, SMU, Texas State, and Tulane.

The Lions' lineman also became the 16th member of the area's 2019 class to offer up their commitment. There are now 14 uncommitted FBS recruits from East Texas this cycle.

Billington, who translates into an offensive guard at the next level, was part of a 5-5 John Tyler team in 2017. The Lions' offense averaged 28.9 points and 376.9 yards pr game.

John Tyler has three 2019 prospects with FBS offers -- Billington, wide receiver and Houston commit Ke'Andre Street, and OL/DL JaBralen Yarber, who also has an offer from Louisiana-Monroe.

ULM is a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The Warhawks are coached by Matt Viator and were 4-8 (4-4 in conference) last season.

Billington's commitment is non-binding. Like all incoming seniors, Billington can first make his commitment official by signing his national letter of intent in December.
