BULLARD – Bullard Brook Hill got a huge game from junior quarterback Khalan Griffin and running back Kirk Jean-Baptiste to lead to a big 21-3 homecoming win over Willow Park-Trinity Christian at Herrington Stadium on Friday night.

A rain-soaked first half had the Guard with a 7-0 lead after Griffin raced in from four yards out.

Jean-Baptiste ran in from 57-yards away for a third quarter tally, before Griffin scampered in from 37-yards for the final score of the night.

The Brook Hill defense held TC to minus-five yards, no first downs, and three interceptions in only 14 plays in the opening half.

Griffin finished the game with 19 carries, 104 yards rushing, and scored on runs of four and 37 yards. Griffin also threw for another 28 yards, going 9-of-11. Jean-Baptiste gained 131-yards in 20 tries to lead to the win.

Conner Carson and Shaffer had first half interceptions. Lane Barber added another first half interception and a fumble recovery in the final half for the Guard.

Brook Hill (3-1), will host Albany, in a rare Saturday afternoon contest next week, at 2 p.m. Willow Park-Trinity Christian (2-2), will host Tolar next Friday night.
