Nacogdoches' Jaylon Lane is one of East Texas' hottest recruiting commodities. The 2015 cornerback picked up his eighth Division I FBS offer -- all coming within the last month -- Saturday evening.

Lane (6-2, 175) was offered by Texas State, he announced on Twitter, after visiting both the San Marcos campus and Texas in Austin on Saturday afternoon.

Since reopening his recruitment after decommitting from Ole Miss last Thursday, Lane has received two offers after hearing from Washington State on Friday. Ironically, only two of his eight offers are from schools in Texas -- Houston and now Texas State.

In addition to Houston, Ole Miss, Texas State and Washington State, Lane also holds offers from Boise State, Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma State and South Alabama.

Lane transferred back to Nacogdoches after spending the last couple years at Central High School in San Angelo. In 2013, Lane made 46 tackles with five interceptions and averaged almost 46 yards on five kickoff returns, which included a 108-yarder for a touchdown.

Nacogdoches should boast one of the best secondaries in all of East Texas with Lane and 2016 safety Brandon Jones, who also has eight high-major offers. Jones had a huge sophomore season for the Dragons with 95 tackles, five interceptions, one defensive touchdown and two kick/punt returns for scores.

With the help of Jones and second-year coach Bobby Reyes, Nacogdoches reached the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
