New Offers Arrive For Newton's Darwin Barlow + Josh Foster

Newton 2019 running back Darwin Barlow received his East Texas-leading 19th Division I FBS scholarship offer on Tuesday, and teammate Josh Foster picked up his 12th.

Barlow (6-0, 200) and Foster (6-0, 165) reported via Twitter that Louisiana-Lafayette has offered.

Later in the evening, Newton 2019 WR/CB Tamauzia Brown also tweeted of an offer from ULL.

The Eagles' star running back also holds major offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Louisville, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas Tech.

Foster also has major opportunities from Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, and TCU.

Barlow was the feature back for the Eagles in 2017, when he rushed for 2,246 yards and an area-leading 38 touchdowns en route to the 3A D-II state championship. His 18 offers are the most of any East Texas prospect.

Foster passed for 1,977 yards and rushed for 553 while scoring 45 total touchdowns last season.

Brown starred on both sides of the ball, totaling 1,432 yards of offense and 18 touchdowns as a receiver. Brown also finished with an area-best 12 interceptions on defense in 2017.

ULL competes in the Sun Belt Conference. The Ragin' Cajuns are coached by Billy Napier, who was hired this offseason. ULL finished 2017 with a 5-7 overall record and 4-4 mark in conference play.

Barlow, Foster, and Brown, like all juniors, can first sign with any team that offers them beginning in December.
