Pine Tree’s Caleb Chumley Receives Fourth D-I FBS Offer

A trip to the Metroplex this past weekend yielded Caleb Chumley his fourth Division I FBS offer.

Pine Tree's quarterback received an offer from North Texas during a visit to the Denton campus, according to PT coach Derek Fitzhenry.

The Mean Green joins Memphis, Oregon State, and Texas State as the FBS programs to offer Chumley, a 6-foot-5, 220-pounder who has a lot of promise entering his senior season.

Chumley caught the attention of colleges after amassing more than 1,400 yards of offense and 13 total touchdowns in only three games at quarterback at the end of the Pirates' 2012 season. He has received interest from several other programs, including Baylor. Bears coach Art Briles visited Pine Tree in January to meet with Chumley, who attended a Baylor junior day and has an invitation to a Baylor summer camp.
