Van Defense Dominates Spring Hill in 46-7 Win

VAN -- Running back Matt Savis ran for two touchdowns and Van's defense stifled Spring Hill in a 46-7 win Friday night at Mal Fowler Field.

Alphonso Thomas added 129 yards and a touchdown rushing, and Van quarterback Peter Maddox threw for 126 yards and a score in the win.

Van (2-0) has allowed just 14 points in its first two games of the season.

Spring Hill (1-1) got on the board on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Plumlee to Luke Shepherd.
