Beckville + Gary Earn Bi-District Volleyball Playoff Wins

LONGVIEW -- The Beckville Ladycats remained unbeaten on the season with a sweep of West Rusk in their Class 3A Region III bi-district playoff at Spring Hill High School.

Beckville defeated West Rusk, 25-8, 25-15, 25-13.

The Ladycats (38-0) will play the winner between Redwater and Pattonville Prairiland later this week in the area round.

Riley Seegers led Beckville with 13 kills, two blocks, two aces, and seven digs.

Miranda Mize added six kills, one block, and four digs, Hannah Humphries had six kills and four digs, Jordan Tondreau finished with five kills and two digs, Payton Jones had four kills and a dig, while Kinley Pepper racked up 35 assists, a kill, an ace, and 12 digs, and Courlyn Nail chipped in with a kill and nine digs.

Gary Sweeps Hawkins

Gary cruised to a 25-16, 25-19, 25-13 sweep of Hawkins in their Class 2A Region III bi-district playoff Monday night.

Gary will meet Avery later this week in the area round.

Leann Young paced Gary with 13 kills, two aces, and 21 digs. Briley Edwards added seven kills, Sarah Yarborough had five kills, a block, an ace, and eight digs, Madie Davis had two kills, two blocks, an ace, and 12 digs, while Taylor Rodgers had 27 assists, an ace, and six digs.
