Chapel Hill Edges Mabank to Reach Regional Quarterfinals

FRANKSTON -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs earned a narrow 68-67 win over Mabank, Friday in a Class 4A Region II area-round playoff.

Chapel Hill (27-9) will meet District 15-4A rival Bullard (30-6) in the regional quarterfinals, which is set for 6 p.m. Monday from Tyler Junior College's Wagstaff Gym.

Mykaela Alfred led the Lady Bulldogs with 29 points, which included five 3-pointers.

Kyia Moore and Ti'Liyah Moore added 13 points apiece, while April Walker chipped in with 10 points in the win.
