NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Chapel Hill gave Carthage a scare early, but Carthage came back to win, 31-10 on Friday.

Chapel Hill went into halftime with a 10-6 lead, but scored 25 unanswered points in the second to pull away.

Carthage finished with 236 yards rushing and Capps was 11-21-0 for 156 yards. Chapel Hill rushed for just 56 yards and Rudd was 17-34-1 for 179 yards.

Mason Courtney led Carthage with 128 yards on 16 carries. Carthage improved to 7-0 and 2-0 in District 10-4A Division II. It will next host Palestine at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Chapel Hill dropped to 1-6 and 0-2 and next faces Henderson.
