Darnell McKnight + Isaiah Davis Carry Gladewater to 26-15 Victory Over Pittsburg

PITTSBURG -- Isaiah Davis ran for two touchdowns and Darnell McKnight added another to give Gladewater a 26-15 win over Pittsburg on Friday night in a District 7-4A Division II matchup.

Gladewater improved to 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in district with the win, while Pittsburg dropped to 5-4 overall and 2-2.

Brett McGee, who threw for 194 and two touchdowns, gave Pittsburg an early 7-0 lead on a connection with Cris Williams.

But Gladewater scored the next 26 points, highlighted by Clint Starling's 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to make the score 7-6 in the first quarter.

Davis and McKnight followed with their touchdown runs to give Gladewater a 26-7 lead at halftime.

McGee connected with Trajan Sheppard for Pittsburg's other touchdown.
