ROCKWALL – D’Crayvan Polk hit the end zone three times and Kendrevian White added two rushing scores as Longview took down Rockwall-Heath, 35-21, on Friday night at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.

Longview pushes its season mark to 7-2 with the win and 5-1 in district to lock in a playoff berth out of District 11-6A.

White led the Lobo attack with 156 yards, scoring on jaunts of 12 and 3 yards. Polk followed with 133 yards from scrimmage, including touchdown runs of 47, 40 and 2 yards for Longview.

Heath, who totaled 324 rushing yards on 51 attempts, jumped to a 14-0 lead after two early Longview turnovers. The Hawks (5-4, 3-3), however, returned the miscues as the Lobos scored 35 unanswered points.

Both teams combined for seven pass attempts with the Lobos using the power run game and the Hawks turning to the single-wing offensive attack.

J’Corian Jimmerson paced the Hawks with 213 yards from scrimmage, including first-quarter touchdown runs of 33 and 29 yards. Desmon Williams powered in the Hawks’ third and final score midway though the fourth quarter on a six-yard scamper. He finished with 30 yards on three carries. Grant Buckholt tallied 65 yards in the loss for the Hawks.

Jimmerson put the Hawks ahead 14-0 after the first quarter.

The Lobos responded with 21 points in the second stanza on two scoring runs from Polk and one from White for a 21-14 lead at halftime.

White had a 12-yard scoring run in the third and Polk wrapped up his night with a third touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

Longview closes out its regular season at home against the Mesquite Skeeters Friday.
