Friday night's battle between District 16-3A heavyweights Gilmer and Chapel Hill at Bulldog Stadium is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Game of the Week.

Gilmer (5-0, 1-0), the new No. 1 team in the Associated Press Class 3A poll, enters the matchup on the heels of a 52-14 rout of arch-rival Gladewater last Friday night in the "District of Doom" opener.

The Bulldogs (3-2, 1-0) are coming off a 49-28 victory over Henderson last week, and have won two consecutive games, outscoring both opponents by a combined score of 111-55.

While each team has gotten great production out of their spread offenses, each team goes about it in different ways.

Gilmer has been burning teams in the passing game all season. Senior quarterback Tanner Barr has 1,502 yards with 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. As a team, Gilmer is averaging 57.8 points and 583 yards per game.

Chapel Hill uses a stable of backs to punish opponents with its running game, which averages 348.6 yards a game. Overall, the Bulldogs are putting up 44.6 points and 504.2 yards on average each week.

We’ll be live from the game with KLTV to bring you the preview at 6 p.m.
