  • committed to Oklahoma State; additional offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Memphis, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech (per Scout.com, 247Sports.com, Rivals.com)

Corion Webster is half of Atlanta’s potent 1-2 backfield punch with Everett Dickerson, the SMU-committed athlete who is ranked No. 16 on the preseason ETSN 25, the East Texas Sports Network’s Top 25 recruiting countdown.

Webster rushed for more than 1,800 yards in 2011 and is poised for a huge senior season as the Rabbits appear to be one of the state’s most popular preseason sleeper picks. Keep an eye on Webster in Atlanta’s Thursday night season opener against Gilmer at Tyler’s TMF Rose Stadium. The slashing speedster has registered identical 18-carry, 200-yard performances each of the past two seasons against the Buckeyes in the first game of the year.

Webster committed to Oklahoma State in late June and seems to be solid to the Cowboys. His penchant for long scoring plays thanks to his acceleration would fit well in Oklahoma State’s wide open offense. He’s also a good receiver out of the backfield.

The ETSN 25 countdown so far ...
