FRANKSTON -- The Indians edged Sabine for a 29-23 win just six days after their season-opening win against Grand Saline.

The Ozzie Buckner-Kendrick Rogers connection wasn't as potent Friday. The quarterback and receiver duo connected five times for 48 yards.

Running back Oran Jenkins made his 2014 debut Friday, and it was a great one.

Jenkins ran for 135 yards on just 15 carries and scored three of the team's touchdowns. He also had 75 yards on kick returns.

Buckner added another 31 yards on nine runs.

Jacob Day led the Indians (2-0) with 59 yards on two receptions.

Caden Bruton and Rogers each had eight tackles on the defensive side of things. Bruton recorded a sack, a forced fumble and three tackles for loss.

Garrett Harden and Zane Porter had seven tackles each for Frankston.
