Friday Basketball Roundup: Whitehouse Boys Snap Skid + More
JACKSONVILLE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats snapped a two-game losing streak with a 67-41 rout of Jacksonville in District 17-5A action Friday night.
Whitehouse (17-9, 3-2) was led by McKade Marquis, who scored 18 points. Jackson Mahomes and Javier Neal added 14 points apiece, while Colby Duhon chipped in with 10.
Jashun Bush led Jacksonville (1-4 in district) with 14 points.
Both teams return to the court Tuesday. Whitehouse travels to Ennis, while Jacksonville plays at Nacogdoches.
Slocum Too Much For Trinidad
SLOCUM -- The Slocum Mustangs cruised to a 47-23 win over Trinidad in District 27-A competition Friday night.
Keet Cockerham and Jacob Lane led the way for Slocum (14-13, 3-2) with 12 points apiece. Edwin Martinez contributed 10 points.
Slocum's season resumes Tuesday at home against Oakwood.

Bullard Outlasts Chapel Hill
BULLARD -- The Bullard Lady Panthers assumed sole possession of second place in the District 15-4A standings with a 51-45 win over Chapel Hill on Friday.
Sydney Foster finished with a team-high 21 points to lead Bullard (25-6, 5-2). Allie Kirgan added 14 points, while Hanna Lloyd finished with 13.
Chapel Hill (23-8, 4-3) was led in defeat by Mykaela Alfred, who poured in 19 points.
Each team returns to action Tuesday. Bullard plays at Spring Hill, while Chapel Hill entertains Kilgore.
