Friday Volleyball: Beckville Wins Pool At White Oak Tournament
WHITE OAK -- The Beckville Ladycats remained unbeaten on the season by going 3-0 in pool play Friday at the White Oak Tournament.
Beckville (19-0) earned wins over Tyler Lee (25-19, 25-20), Hallsville (25-19, 25-22), and Avery (25-13, 25-14).
Riley Seegers led the way against Lee with seven kills, two blocks, two aces, and one dig. Hannah Humphries added six kills, two blocks, and three digs, Payton Jones had five kills and five digs, Kinley Pepper racked up 24 assists with two aces and six digs, while Courtlyn Nail chipped in with a kill, an ace, and 12 digs.
Against Hallsville, Humphries had a team-high nine kills. Jordan Tondreau added eight kills and five digs, Seegers put up five kills, a block, and three digs, while Pepper registered 26 assists.
Seegers had nine kills, one block, one ace, and two digs against Avery. Humphries followed with eight kills and three digs, Jones had four kills and 12 digs, Pepper finished with 26 assists, an ace, and three digs, while Nail had a pair of aces and nine digs.
Beckville continues with bracket play Saturday in White Oak.
Carlisle Takes Down Harmony
PRICE -- The Carlisle Lady Indians earned a 25-22, 25-27, 25-14, 25-12 win over Harmony on Friday.
Aubrey Hart led Carlisle (13-9) with 17 kills and 11 blocks. Heather Craig added 15 kills, five aces, and 21 digs, Callie Gray had eight kills and five blocks, while Jailin Kee finished with 39 assists, three kills, and 14 digs.
Carlisle returns to action Saturday with bracket play at the Winona Tournament.
Emory Rains Sweep Dual Match
EMORY -- The Emory Rains Ladycats swept a dual match with Kaufman and North Forney on Friday.
Rains (13-10) knocked off Kaufman, 25-11, 24-26, 25-13, 25-16 before downing North Forney, 25-23, 26-24, 26-24.
In the win over Kaufman, Shelbi Sheppard had 17 kills, three blocks, 17 assists, and 19 digs to lead the way. McKenna Hildebrandt added six kills, three blocks, and five aces, Summer Nerkowski had six kills and eight digs, Kaitlin McIntyre finished with three blocks, Vivian Bradshaw racked up 19 assists, while Presley McAree added three aces and eight digs.
Sheppard had eight kills, 14 assists, and 18 digs against North Forney. Nerkowski added seven kills and eight digs, Hildebrandt recorded seven blocks, Bradshaw registered 14 assists, while McAree and Elissa Elliott had two aces apiece.
Rains' season resumes Saturday with gold bracket play at the Brownsboro Tournament.
