SAN AUGUSTINE -- San Augustine quarterback JaMikel Roberts was virtually unstoppable Friday night.

Roberts accounted for 478 yards and eight touchdowns to lead the Wolves to a wild, 69-49 win over Shelbyville in District 10-A Division I action.

The junior signal-caller completed 13 of 24 passes for 355 yards and six touchdowns and added 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Roberts' scoring passes covered 41, 42, 38, 32, 27 and 37 yards. Dez Randle (six catches, 199 yards) and Jarvis Smith (four, 123) had three touchdown receptions apiece. Roberts' touchdown runs covered 21 and 2 yards.

Jeremy Jenkins also put together a solid outing with 20 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns for San Augustine (3-4, 2-0), which put up 596 yards of total offense.

San Augustine plays at No. 8 West Sabine (6-0, 2-0), while Shelbyville entertains Cushing next week.
