Jordan Osby + Timpson Take Down Grapeland, 67-28, to Reach State Quarterfinals
RUSK -- Jordan Osby ran for 284 yards and six touchdowns and Timpson continued its winning ways with a 67-28 win over Grapeland on Friday night in a Class 2A Division II regional semifinal game at Eagle Stadium.
After falling to Tenaha in the regular season finale, Timpson (10-2) will get another shot at the top-ranked Tigers in the state quarterfinals at a time and site to be determined next weekend.
Tenaha beat the Bears, 40-6, in Week 11 of the regular season.
Osby also converted five two-point conversions in Timpson's win.
Grapeland was led by Brannon Bedre's two touchdown runs and two touchdown passes from quarterback Rick Frauenberger. Josh Ackley caught both touchdown passes in the Sandies' loss.
