Tuesday Basketball: Crockett Opens Season With Big Win + More

CROCKETT – The Crockett Bulldogs began the basketball season with an emphatic 91-46 rout of Onalaska on Tuesday night.

Alton Owens led the way for Crockett (1-0) with 24 points, while Tyvondrick White finished with 21 points.

Crockett’s season continues Friday at Grapeland, and next Tuesday at New Waverly.

Tatum Takes Down Gladewater

GLADEWATER – The Tatum Lady Eagles earned a 53-39 win over Gladewater on Tuesday night.

Essence Allen led Tatum (5-3) with 21 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Ashton Brown added 10 points, three boards, and a steal, while Jayla Hooper added seven points, 19 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Tatum takes part in the Wills Point Tournament later this week.

Bullard Suffers First Loss

BULLARD – The Timpson Lady Bears handed Bullard its first loss of the season, 39-33, Tuesday night.

Haley Day led Bullard (11-1) in defeat with 21 points.

Bullard will participate in the Athens Tournament beginning Thursday.
