Defending Champ Mart Ends Grapeland’s Season, 64-22

MADISONVILLE – The defending state champion Mart Panthers cruised to a 64-22 win over Grapeland in their Class 2A Division II regional semifinal Friday night at Mustang Stadium.

Mart (12-1), which dropped down from Division I before this season, will meet reigning 2A Division II champion Muenster in the state quarterfinals next week.

Grapeland ended its season at 11-2.

Mart's dynamic duo of Tyrek Horne and Shatydrick Bailey each rushed for more than 200 yards in the victory.
