TEXARKANA -- The Liberty-Eylau Leopards used a 32-point explosion in the second quarter to take down crosstown rival Pleasant Grove, 44-35, Friday night as they picked up their first win of the season.

Leopards (1-4) running back Kameron Levingston ran for 172 yards and four touchdowns -- three in the second period -- on just 11 carries.

L-E trailed Pleasant Grove (1-3) 14-0 after the first quarter, but grabbed command in the second, heading into halftime with a 32-21 lead.

Levingston scored on runs of 25, 58, and 1 yards to ignite the Leopards' onslaught. Quarterback Decorian Phillips ran for and passed for a touchdown in the quarter as well.

Phillips completed 6 of 13 attempts for 122 yards and two scores. His second touchdown toss came in the third quarter -- a 76-yarder to Isaiah Cross.

Levingston's final score of the night was a 46-yard in the fourth quarter.

T.J. Cole led the Hawks with three rushing touchdowns, while Logan Wesley ran for a team-best 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Liberty-Eylau returns to action Oct. 7 at Paris in the District 7-4A Division I opener, while Pleasant Grove faces Krum next Friday night in Royse City.
