LONGVIEW -- Elysian Fields torched Harleton in both teams' District 9-3A Division II opener, 46-0, Saturday on the big stage at Longview's Lobo Stadium. Quarterback Logan Hughes, who played spot roles offensively last season on Waskom's state championship team, completed 20 of 26 passes for 331 yards. JACKSONVILLE -- Cameron High is one of those little gems in East Texas. He's small in size at 5-foot-9 and 158 pounds, but he has the ability to be a dominant running force with support. TYLER -- A safety and a clutch Dallas Christian drive in the final seconds cost Tyler Grace a chance at redemption in a 26-24 loss Friday at Clyde-Perkins Stadium in its TAPPS Division II, District II opener. Drew MacKay hit a winning field goal for Dallas Christian (5-0, 1-0), which won the head-to-head game last year by two points, from 33 yards with 35 seconds left to play.
