Lindale Hoop Heaven: Longview Rebounds From Loss to Whitehouse With OT Victory Over Lindale

LINDALE -- The Longview Lobos earned a 63-62 overtime victory over host Lindale in the final game of the first day of the Lindale Hoop Heaven tournament on Thursday.

Cadell Williams and Jordan Whitaker led the Lobos (5-3) with 15 points apiece, while Jay Head chipped in with 12.

Lindale's Mason Terry led all scorers with 21 points. Jacob Capo added 14 points and Jordan Gray finished with 12 in the losing effort for Lindale (3-3).

Whitehouse 68, Longview 63

Spencer Shaw scored 20 points and knocked down three 3-pointers to lead Whitehouse to a 68-63 victory over Longview, improving the Wildcats to 4-0 on the season.

Patrick Mahomes and Jake Parker had 17 points apiece for Whitehouse.

Longview was led by Whitaker's 19 points. Dorian Leonard added 11 in defeat.

Tyler Lee 52, North Forney 49

Caleb Johnston scored 22 points to lead the Tyler Lee Red Raiders to a 52-49 win over North Forney.

Jack Calhoun added 15 points for Lee, which improved to 5-1 on the year.

North Forney (4-1) was paced by Armani Watts' 27 points.

Lindale 49, Pine Tree 26

Terry scored 16 points as Lindale scored an easy 49-26 win over Pine Tree.

Capo added 13 points for the Eagles.

Pine Tree was led by Robert Hines, who finished with six points in the losing effort.

GIRLS

Lindale 62, West Rusk 40

Natasha Malone scored 14 points to lead the Lindale Lady Eagles to a 62-40 rout of West Rusk.

Paige Murphy and Megan Seawright added eight points apiece for Lindale.

Tierney Reddic led West Rusk with 12 points, while Tierra Wilson finished with eight.

Pine Tree 42, Henderson 28

Sky Holmes had 19 points in leading the Pine Tree Lady Pirates to a 42-28 defeat of Henderson.

Kabreshia Orange added nine points in the win for Pine Tree.

Henderson was led by Keyah Stewart's 14 points.

West Rusk 61, Troup 42

The West Rusk Lady Raiders earned a 61-42 victory over Troup in the first game of the day.

Reddic led West Rusk with 12 points, while Sara Buckner added 11.

Paeton Nolan led three Troup players in double-figures with 14 points. Josee Ross added 13 points, while Alexus Lacy chipped in with 11.
