MARSHALL -- Cameron Haller and Co. kept pouring the points on Crandall on Friday night, and Marshall moved to 2-0 on the season with a 55-7 rout of the Pirates at Maverick Stadium.

Haller ran for three touchdowns and threw another in the big win by Marshall (2-0), which finished the game with more than 500 yards of offense. The Mavericks cruised to a 48-7 lead by halftime.

Haller ran for 115 yards in the game, while completing both of his pass attempts for 84 yards and a touchdown. Chavis Mills averaged more than 20 yards per carry in the win, rushing six times for 126 yards and two scores.

Justin Hart only needed to throw eight times in the rout, completing five passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Trel Patton and Jaquavian Dabbs each caught touchdowns for the Mavericks.

Crandall's only score came on a 90-yard touchdown pass from Coy Finch to to Jordan Bryan to make the score 27-7 in the first quarter.
