CORSICANA -- Nate Brooks got his first start at quarterback for Whitehouse on Friday night against Corsicana, and he made it count.

Brooks threw for a touchdown, ran for two more and Dominique Hollie also scored twice -- including the game-winning touchdown -- in Whitehouse's 38-35 win over Corsicana at Tiger Stadium.

The Wildcats' (4-3, 1-3 in District 16-5A) win, coupled with Jacksonville's 85-79 five-overtime win over Nacogdoches on Friday night, kept their playoff hopes alive. Corsicana dropped to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in district.

Brooks completed 20 of 29 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions, while rushing for 133 yards and two scores on 17 attempts.

His touchdown pass went to Hollie, who caught five passes for 61 yards and rushed for 189 yards and a score on 30 carries. Trent Williams also caught four passes for 65 yards in the win.

All told, Whitehouse finished with 529 yards of offense.

Kishawn Kelly led Corsicana with 172 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while passing for 129 yards and a touchdown. Jamaal Evans rushed for 82 yards and two scores and Ja'Micha Polk added 91 yards on 15 carries.
