Nick Ballard + West Rusk Keep Season Alive With 31-14 Win Over Howe

FORNEY -- Nick Ballard scored two touchdowns and West Rusk won the battle of 10-1 teams against Howe, 31-14, on Friday night.

The Class 3A Division II area-round win means West Rusk will face Paul Pewitt -- a 55-28 winner over Leonard on Friday night -- in the third round. The game is Thanksgiving night at Lobo Stadium in Longview, with a kickoff time still to be determined.

Dee Starling also threw a 15-yard touchdown in West Rusk's win.
