ATLANTA -- No. 9 Atlanta raced out to an early 14-point lead on No. 10 Gladewater on Friday night in our DQ Game of the Week, but it didn't last.

Gladewater scored all of the points after that, using two touchdown passes from Nick Canaguier to Camron Callaway to fuel the Bears' 36-14 win in a crucial District 6-4A Division II matchup.

The win put the Bears (6-1, 2-0) in the driver's seat in the district standings, and we'll likely see Gladewater move up again in Monday's latest AP top 10 poll. Atlanta suffered its first loss of the season and sits at 6-1 overall and 1-1 in district.

A Chase Musgrove touchdown pass to Cade Coulter and a 1-yard scoring run from Musgrove gave Atlanta a 14-0 lead with 2:17 left in the first quarter, but it was all Gladewater after that.

Canaguier hit Callaway for a 40-yard touchdown 52 seconds after Musgrove's touchdown run, and the two connected again on a 46-yard touchdown as time expired in the first half. That followed an 8-yard touchdown run by Marcello Jackson to give the Bears a 23-14 lead at halftime.

James Reese (7 yards) and Daylon Mack (1 yard) added touchdown runs in the third quarter to finish Gladewater's scoring.

Gladewater finished with 470 total yards of offense, 338 coming on the ground. The Bears held Atlanta to 299 total yards.
