Pine Tree Girls Remain Unbeaten With 2-1 Win Over Mabank

LONGVIEW -- The Pine Tree Lady Pirates remained perfect on the season with a 2-1 win over Mabank on Monday at Pirate Stadium.

Lilly Cabrera had a goal in each half as Pine Tree improved to 5-0 on the season. Cabrera's first goal was assisted by Erin Bailey, while the second came midway through the second half off an assist from Kate Suits.

Mabank pressured late and scored -- the first goal Pine Tree has allowed all season -- on a free kick with about one minute remaining.

Pine Tree is back in action this weekend at the Longview Tournament. Its first match is at 4 p.m. Thursday against Lufkin.
