North Texas Offers East Texas Trio of 2020 Recruits
North Texas was active on the East Texas recruiting trail this weekend, offering three of the area's top prospects in the 2020 class.
The Mean Green sent offers to Longview quarterback Haynes King, Pine Tree receiver JJ Sparkman, and Marshall receiver Savion Williams.
All three offers were reported via Twitter.
King (6-3, 180) now has nine FBS offers. In addition to North Texas, the Lobos junior has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Houston, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Southern Miss, Texas State, and Tulsa.
On the season, King has passed for 2,219 yards with 26 touchdowns and no interceptions in 164 attempts for Longview (9-0), which go for its first undefeated regular season since 2005 against Mesquite on Friday night.
Sparkman is the leading receiver for Pine Tree, which ends the regular season Friday night at home against Marshall. He has 26 catches for 636 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Pirates' pass-catcher also holds offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Iowa State, and Southern Miss.
Williams is one of three Division I recruits in Marshall's receiving corps. He has 32 receptions for 515 yards and eight touchdowns for the Mavericks (7-2).
The Mavs' playmaker also has offers from Arkansas, Bowling Green, Indiana, Southern Miss, Texas State, and Texas Tech.
North Texas is the third season under head coach Seth Littrell. The Mean Green are 7-2 overall and 3-2 in Conference USA in 2018.
King, Sparkman, and Williams, like all juniors, are first eligible to sign with any program that offer them in December of 2019.
